Augusta -- city of seconds, as in Georgia's second-largest city, and home to America's second-largest state-run welcome center -- has a first-run assemblage of boutiques, shops, plazas and malls for apparel, antiques, art, gifts, and home décor. Souvenir shopping can start at the Augusta Visitor Information Center, or at Augusta museums. Broad Street features an expanding community of antique and collectibles shops, as does Washington Road. Stretching from the 1000 block of Broad Street, Artist’s Row is a collection of galleries, studios, and custom frame shops like the Ravens Hoard, Schweitzer Art Glass Studio, and Zimmerman Gallery, offering original works, prints, and posters. Golf and Masters tournament memorabilia is in antique shops throughout the city. Augusta Mall, anchored by Dillard's, Macy's, JCPenney, and Sears, has more than 140 stores. The Augusta Exchange, anchored by Target, awaits as an upscale assortment of shops and restaurants in Surrey Center, south of Augusta National Golf Club.
